Strawberry Streusel Bars
Hello Guys. Its about 9pm and there is nothing sweet to eat in the house. So i decided to get creative with a Betty Crocker cookie bag mix i have! had that has been staring me in my face for weeks. So something out-of-the-box it is! So i created a Strawberry Bar with some streusel on top! I am using the homemade strawberry jam my dad made so i know its good! BTW please disregard the snow flake plate. In a snow state of mind. HA
Whatcha Need:
1 Bag Betty Crocker Sugar cookie mix- (The big bag 1lb 1.5oz)
1/3 Cup of softened Butter- The real stuff guys
2 Tablespoons of flour
1 Egg
A few dashes of Vanilla Extract (to your liking)
A a few heaping scoops of jam (i used strawberry)- Hint Hint: Don't use the crap stuff. Use some quality preserve or jam
How to you put it together:
1) Spray a 8X8 pan then mix all the above minus the Jam until a crumbly mixture is made.
2) Put a little over half of the dough on the bottom of the pan
3) Spread your jam
4) Crumble remaining topping
Yep that's it. Now cook in the oven at 350 for about 20-25 minutes.
Enjoy!
